Building network diagram can be quite cumbersome if you don’t have appropriate tools to do so. But no worry there is one online tools where you can create network diagram easily and freely. If you like to install this software/application on your Windows machine, you can do so by downloading the application by following this link:

2. On the first page it will ask you to for storage where you want to save your diagram.
3. You can choose “Device” to save the diagram on your local machine.
4. Now depending on what you want to create choose the category from the left side of the window.
5. If you want to search, drag and drop the elements/component manually you can choose “Blank Diagram“.
6. Now from the top left search box, search for your component/element/device.
For example if you are looking for router, search for “Router“. Once the search is populated just drag and drop the one you prefer and from the right side you can change other properties of device.
7. You can also look for other component from the left panel of the application.
8. You can save the diagram is different format like xml, png etc.
I found network.io very handy and easy to create network diagram and most importantly it is freely available for download or online usage.
